My mom taught me so much through her actions.  She showed me what it is like to have courage, she demonstrated strength and relentlessness through the difficult moments of her life - moments where people would usually quit or find an easier way out.  My mother showed me to stand firm in what I believe in.

Inspired by my mom’s example of courage and determination,   I pursued my passion for Art. At an early age of 16, I already sold 3 artwork commissions and was the first one in my family to go and complete a degree in a University. I got my BFA and was honored the Youngest “up and coming artist” with my artworks already for sale at the art gallery of the Montreal Fine Art.

As I was building my career as an artist, I decided to have a family even if teachers/advisers at the University said I would not succeed as an artist if I was juggling responsibilities of motherhood at the same time.  I did it any way. Then came challenges of pregnancy where doctors required me to have 6 years of bed rest on top of hormone injections, and blood thinners.  I stood firm and relentlessly pursued motherhood and was blessed with two miracle babies, and still managed to work on a public artwork in Boucherville Quebec Canada. During this time, I was  also chosen to represent Canada with a few selected artists in Miami for a major Art show.

When challenges happened and things were out of my control, my mother’s example taught me not to be a victim and be courageous.  Stay strong and create from nothing. Be a victor and not a victim of any situation and keep pushing through to have the life I want.
